Pakistani Bridal Couture Week 2010

Esta gran pasarela tuvo lugar desde el 26 al 28 de noviembre en la ciudad de Lahore capital de Pakistán. Durante estos tres días se observaron deslumbrantes trajes tradicionales de la región. Se evidenció la riqueza de bordados y el minucioso trabajo de pedrería realizado en cada prenda, así mismo, impresionantes combinaciones de colores en trajes de novias que reflejaban a la mujer exótica, atractiva y elegante.

En particular, admiré el trabajo realizado por los diseñadores Ali Xeeshan y Mehdi, ya que la versatilidad de sus creaciones permite a la mujer de hoy en día ser diferente, moderna y femenina tomando en cuenta sus raíces culturales. 

The Bridal Couture Week took place in the thriving city of Lahore from November 26 to 28. This mega event was dedicated to upcoming brides. Stunning traditional wedding dresses were seen with a wealth of embroidery and meticulous work with precious stones. This runway also showed costumes with impressive combinations of colors for the exotic, attractive and elegant woman.

I liked the work done by designers like Xeeshan Ali and Mehdi because the versatility of their creations represents the modern woman who dares to be different and feminine respecting her cultural roots.

Esta temporada otoño-invierno 2010, apuesto por los vestidos de corte asimétrico. Aportan un toque sofisticado a la prenda, realzan la feminidad y estiliza muy bien la figura. Acompañado de unos altos tacones, conforman la combinación perfecta para lucirte en fiestas, cocktail, cenas y demás eventos. Definitivamente hará que seas el centro de todas las miradas, derrochando elegancia y sofisticación…

Así mismo, muchos son los diseñadores que en las colecciones de esta temporada han apostado por ellos.

Style: Gossip Girl !

Adoro el estilo de estos chicos! siempre lucen únicos e impecables, marcando pauta en el mundo de la moda. Blair Waldorf es mi personaje favorito, interpretado por la actriz Leighton Meester, es la reina de la elegancia y sofisticación! ésta niña mimada sí que sabe llevar muy bien las prendas estampadas, bordadas, de cuadrillé y ni hablar de los accesorios, súper chic.

Y no podía dejar de mencionar a Serena van der Woodsen, personaje interpretado por la actriz Blake Lively, una guapa rubia del Upper East Side que disfruta llevar un estilo más casual pero a la par de elegante. En la última temporada apreciamos un cambio hacia tejidos más sutiles y un aire vintage en su vestuario.

Si bien cierto, éstas chicas fuera de la pantalla mantienen un look súper fashion, un make up impecable y prendas q reflejan su estilo en particular.

I love the style of these guys! Always have an impeccable and unique style; they are the new fashion icons. Vestidos de Fiesta

Ya se acercan las fiestas de navidad y año nuevo, mi época favorita del año! y aunque estoy un poco indecisa sobre qué ponerme, decidí hacer una lista de vestidos para usar en esta ocasión... Encontré muchísimas opciones, cortos, asimétricos, largos, en fin, una gran variedad de ellos. Lo que me llevó a pensar que un vestido sencillo podría ser muy chic si lo usamos con los accesorios adecuados, sin embargo no hay que temer usar prendas vanguardistas, ya que con actitud todo luce mucho mejor ;) !

The Christmas holydays are coming, my favorite time of year! And I'm undecided about what to wear, so I make a list of clothing to use this season... I found so many options, short dresses, asymmetric, longs, etc.  But you need to keep in mind that a simple dress can be very chic if we use it with the right accessories, don’t be afraid to use innovative styles, remember: with attitude, everything looks much better ;) !
